Why choose HCC?

We’re different to schools and sixth form colleges, as we also offer courses for people over the age of 19. So as well as being part of a much larger organisation, you’ll be mixing with people of different ages and backgrounds. Our class sizes are also much smaller, meaning your tutors will get to know you and be able to dedicate more time to your individual needs.

This environment, combined with the support you’ll get from tutors and staff, really does mean that you can achieve. Our success rates have risen significantly every year for the last three years – and we’re dedicated to ensuring this trend continues. Most of our students secure places at University after their course – or go on to get great jobs.

A number of our courses have 100% success rates – so we know we’re doing something right!

Don't just take our word for it...

We asked our students why they liked studying here. Here are their top ten reasons!

  • Our staff, teachers and tutors are supportive and helpful
  • It’s such a friendly and safe environment
  • The learning resources centre is impressive and a useful place to study
  • The open, spacious campus has plenty of space and activities to relax in between lessons
  • The courses and lessons are well-structured and enjoyable
  • The environment is vibrant and multicultural
  • The diner area and food are high quality
  • There are plenty of computers – and IT is used across the courses
  • There’s a massive range of courses to choose from
  • The sports centre and sports academies for students are second to none
