Can I just arrive and use one?
Yes, if a computer is free and has not been booked for someone else, you can simply walk up and use it. You will need your username and password. To be sure of getting a PC during peak times it is best to book in advance.
Your PC time in the learning centre is managed by MyPC software You may log in for an initial one hour period and if the computer is free, extend this time for a further one hour. If you have an urgent course deadline, staff will grant additional time but only after 2pm when demand for computers is less.
Booking in advance
You can use MyPC to book a PC slot in advance; either at the dedicated advance booking PC in the centre, or from any computer in the college (go to http://lms/mypc3). You can do this up to a week in advance. Please remember to be on time. If you are more than 10 minutes late, your booking is automatically cancelled.
Is there a charge for printing?
You may have up to 50 black and white sheets a week-free. If you wish to use the colour printer, you will be charged 20p per sheet. Please ask at the IT help desk for colour printing.
