The Jack Petchey Foundation was formed in 1999 and since then has awarded grants totalling over £25 million to youth programmes across Essex and London.

Hackney Community College operates the Jack Petchey Foundation’s flagship Achievement Awards Scheme for our 14-25 year old students. The scheme aims to encourage and motivate learners by rewarding their outstanding progress / achievements.

    ...and much more

What does the award winner receive?

    • £200 to spend on a class activity or item of benefit to other students (in agreement with their class and tutor).
    • A boxed medallion
    • A framed certificate
    • The opportunity to attend a prestigious award ceremony with friends and family

Past students have spent their prize money on the following:

    • Class equipment
    • External visits/trips
