How to get on the right course

It's easy to get on the right course

We have hundreds of courses at HCC, including:

  • A Levels
  • GCSEs
  • BTECs
  • Vocational (work-related) courses
  • Apprenticeships

Use the ‘course search’ facility at the top of this page to search for the course you’re interested in. Alternatively, have a look at our online prospectus – but remember, things may have changed since it was produced, so contact us to check the course is running.

Before you apply, think about what GCSE grades you expect to get (your mock exam results should help). This will help you choose a course which is at the right level for you. If you’re not sure what to choose, come along to one of our Open Evenings.

Our tutors and advisers will go through all the options with you. If you can’t make an Open Evening, call our course information team on 020 7613 9123. People value our Open Evenings as it gives them a chance to look around the campus and see how much we have to offer – so do try and come along to one if you can.

If you expect your GCSE results to be: Choose this level course:
Mostly F and G grades Level 1 (Foundation)
Mostly D and E grades Level 2 (Intermediate)
Grade C or above in at least four GCSEs Level 3 (Advanced vocational)
Grade A-C in at least five GCSEs Three-four AS/A levels or vocational route
