Billy etches up success
Young Hackney Community College Carpentry and Joinery student Billy Emerton has been recognised as an emerging talent after winning a silver medal at the prestigious Apprentice Skills Showcase.
In only his first year at HCC, Level 1 student Billy, aged 16, demonstrated outstanding ability which impressed the judges at the competition which recognises the skills of construction trainees across London.
He intends to progress onto the Level 2 course to continue developing his existing skills.
