This award is usually presented to a single learner, but this year, the following
nomination for a group really stood out among the rest.
This BTEC Sports Level 3 group, planned, organised and hosted a successful Olympic Day for pupils from the local St Paul’s and St Michael’s Primary School.
The school pupils were invited onto the HCC campus and enjoyed fun and educational activities including an Olympic sports quiz and a practical sports session. The pupils greatly valued working with HCC students in the classroom on aspects surrounding the Olympic Games and were thrilled to meet and speak to local sports professionals as part of the event. Overall it was an excellent day and a great example of how our students are working with the local community.
