I’ve got such a lot out of my time here“ said Ibrahim. Now he is off to study Biomedical Science at City of Westminster University. After university Ibrahim wants to establish his own business.

Motin, who also progressed to HCC from Homerton College of Technology wanted to start off by re-taking some of his GCSEs. He progressed to the BTEC National Diploma in Science. “I always wanted to study science, and the BTEC was the ideal course for me“ said Motin. He, too, is off to study Biomedical Science at City of Westminster University and hopes to eventually work in the health sector. “This College has given me such great opportunities. I had to work really hard but it’s set me up for life“ said Motin.

Alongside their studies, Ibrahim and Motin were superb Ambassadors for the College and active members of the student association. They got involved in a range of promotional work, both as College and Aimhigher Ambassadors, and inspired younger students to reach their potential at Hackney Community College.

“The College really provides great opportunities for young students in life and work preparation,“ said Motin. “I’m glad that I can give back to the College and help other young people.“
