Fashion Students explore the 1920s - The Jazz Age
Posted 7th November 2016
On a recent trip to the Fashion and Textiles Museum, the level 1, 2 and 3 Fashion students used the 1920s Jazz Age exhibition to inform and inspire their 1920s garment creations.
Students were required to describe and explain their favourite parts of the exhibition through a presentation to their class using photos, sketches and texts from the museum visit.
They also had to embrace the historical and contextual content of the era to recognise how events and trends the influences of this dazzling era of fashion, and created a timeline to reflect this.
Head of Department Paulene Carr said “This is a fantastic exhibition which provides a great insight into this inspiring era of fashion. I am sure we will see some amazing creations from our students following this visit.”
