Apprenticeships are a crucial first step to many young people embarking into the world of work. The Evening Standard's Ladder for London Campaign has already encouraged London's businesses to take on 650 apprentices in 7 months. The campaign has now partnered with five Further Education colleges to achieve 1,000 more apprenticeships this year, marked by a reception at Buckingham Palace.
