The first ever HCC Alumni Hackney All Stars Music Night

Brought to you by HCC Alumni & Friends

What a night!

Thank you to everyone who performed, donated equipment and raffle prizes, helped and came along. And by the way – what a CRAZY raffle it was. The generosity of our friends just got bigger as the night went on. Some AMAZING prizes. If only Sam were an Arsenal fan….

A truly fabulous event!

Thanks to our friends for giving up their time to come along and perform for us. Some are ex-students, some are friends and one is about to embark on a teacher training course at HCC!:

A network of wonderful Hackney people, and our wonderful friends!

Special thanks to Pascal, Orphy, Leroy and Richard from HCC Alumni & Friends for putting together such a spectacular show

See Orphy’s blog for more info on the talent for the night.

Real benefits to you and to HCC students!

HCC Alumni & Friends, an association of ex-students and anyone else who wants to support or stay in touch with the college, is going from strength to strength with real benefits to students.

Over the last few months HCC Alumni & Friends members have given a little bit of their time to come along and meet current students:

Actor Colin McFarlane has visited Performing Arts & Media students, giving a wealth of tips for a successful career.
Colin was joined by Speaker of Hackney Sally Mulready as special guests of honour at our 2011 student awards evening – both inspirational and motivational.
Chris Wyldd, director of the Foreign Press Association spoke to media students about international journalism in a lively, entertaining and informative session.
Lanre Sulola has delivered a brilliant Inner Ambition workshop.
A great group of ex-business students came to a reunion and told current students all about life at university.

More structured mentoring and information systems are being established for the 2011-12 year.

You can join too!
There’s a growing list of ‘signed-up’ members, however we need to tap into industry areas that aren’t currently represented within HCC Alumni & Friends. We’re looking for members in sport, travel, financial services, enterprise, construction trades, motor vehicle or hospitality & catering.

See the links to the left to join up!

Members don’t need to commit to anything at all – but they may be able to give information or come along to an event at some point.

All members get discounts at Open Kitchen Bar & Restaurant (meals), SPACe gym and sports centre, on room hire and training for their business.
