Hackney Community College - supporting global educational development
Hackney Community College is proud to have worked with a number of colleges, regions and governments, to deliver a range of professional development support programmes. We have worked successfully with education professionals and government ministers from countries including China, Turkey, Iran, Cyprus and Nigeria.
Led by principal Ian Ashman, an experienced group of managers work with the clients/partners to deliver tailor-made development programmes. In some cases the training is delivered in the partner’s country, and in others, a group of professionals will travel to Hackney. Or, sometimes, both – Hackney staff would travel to your country, and groups of your staff would visit Hackney. If groups are travelling to London, we can work with you to arrange accommodation and a cultural programme alongside your training.
Programme design and funding
- Leadership and management in education, for senior and middle managers
- Curriculum management for vocational education
- Teacher training programmes for academic and vocational teachers
- Vocational and academic English for staff and students
You will:
- Work with our staff to learn what systems will work in your organisation
- Communicate with students and staff directly
- Visit key London landmarks, including the Olympic site, museums, Buckingham Palace, Downing Street, Big Ben and more!
We’ll tailor-make your itinerary – including accommodation, transport tickets and sightseeing to fit your requirements.
We have also worked with groups of teachers to train them in English for specific qualifications, including English for the financial sector.
A programme could be a one-off week of intensive training, or a year-long programme of development, training and support.
Hackney Community College is a member of the Association of Colleges’ International Charter Scheme.
