Phillips sets his sights on success
Phillips Omosheye, aged 17, credits the apprenticeship he did at Hackney Community College for making him more focused and committed to achieving his career goals.
Immediately after leaving secondary school Phillips decided to do an apprenticeship in business to get a real feel of the working environment as well as enhance his knowledge on the subject.
Phillips worked in HCC’s Exam department for a year while studying on the Business Administration Level 2 course at the College.
The teenager, from South London, successfully completed his apprenticeship last summer and is now studying A Levels.
He said: “It was a new and different experience adapting to the working system after leaving school but I was given a lot of support and guidance to make sure I managed. The apprenticeship has added a lot more to my life and I have learnt a lot.”
